How much would you save generating AI images at Google’s real price?
About half your bill. A designer generating 500 images a month at 2K pays roughly $50.40 at Google's real Gemini rates. The same volume through a typical reseller-priced tool costs about $100.80 — the difference is markup. myda adds none: you bring your own Google API key, Google bills you directly at its published price, and about $604.80 a year stays with you.
Real Google rates from the same pricing engine the app bills with. “Typical studio” assumes the common ~2× markup competitors add on top of the model’s actual cost. Pro is $19/mo with 3 seats included ($15 billed annually) — generation is never marked up on either plan.

vs. a studio reselling at ~2× — that’s $40.32/month back in your pocket, platform fee included.
What do 500 AI images a month actually cost?
Google’s published rate for a 2K image from Gemini 3.1 Flash Image (Nano Banana 2) is 1,680 image-output tokens at $60 per million tokens — $0.1008 per image. At 500 images a month the maths looks like this:
| Line item | Per month |
|---|---|
| Google’s price per 2K image | $0.1008 |
| What Google bills you (500 × $0.1008) | $50.40 |
| myda platform fee (Free, solo studio) | $0 |
| Your total with your own API key | $50.40 |
| Same 500 images at a typical ~2× reseller price | $100.80 |
| You keep | $50.40/mo · $604.80/yr |
On the Pro plan ($19/month, 3 seats) the same 500 images total $69.40 — still $31.40 a month less than the marked-up price, because the fee is flat and generation is never marked up.

- Where do these prices come from?
- Directly from Google's published Gemini API pricing — the calculator uses the same pricing engine the myda app bills with, so the numbers here match what Google actually charges. Rates were last verified against Google's pricing page in July 2026.
- What does the 'typical studio' comparison assume?
- A ~2× markup, which is common among AI-visualisation tools that resell the same Google models through their own subscription or credit packs. Some charge less, some considerably more — the calculator shows the structural difference: with your own API key there is no reseller in the middle at all.
- Does myda add a markup on image generation?
- No — never, on any plan. Generation is billed by Google directly to your own API key at Google's real token price. myda charges only a flat platform fee on the Pro plan ($19/month with 3 seats); the Free solo studio has no fee at all.
- When does the Pro plan pay for itself?
- From about 189 images a month at 2K: at that volume the markup you avoid covers the $19 fee, and everything beyond it is saving. Below that volume the Free solo studio keeps the full saving with no fee.
- Is the free plan really free?
- Yes — $0 forever, up to 30 images a day at up to 2K resolution on your own Google API key. You pay only Google's real generation cost, exactly as shown in the worked example above.
